01 /A new option
You don’t have to sell your company to get paid for what it built.
There’s now a second way: license a de-identified copy of the records your business already keeps. Buyers pay for how the work gets done, never for who it was done for.
- You keep the company, your customers and the originals
- Buyers get a copy, with every name taken out
- A light lift for your team. We guide every step
- You approve what’s included and sign every agreement
02 /What buyers pay for
The paperwork you already have.
AI developers have trained on most of the public web. To build software that does real work, they license records like these, exactly as your team kept them, with the names taken out.
Email & calendars
Years of real correspondence: scheduling, negotiating, following up.
Work orders & job notes
The problem, the diagnosis and the fix, in your team’s own words.
Quotes & invoices
How your business prices work and handles changes.
Project files & drawings
Plans, specs, submittals and the decisions behind them.
Dispatch & delivery logs
Real-world routing, exceptions and on-the-fly calls.
CRM & sales history
How leads become customers, one step at a time.
Support tickets & chat
How issues get triaged, escalated and solved.
SOPs, manuals & wikis
The playbook your team actually follows.
Your records probably live in software like this.
Don’t see yours? It almost certainly still works.

03 /What stays out
Buyers get the work. Never the names.
Before a buyer sees a single record, people and customer details are swapped for neutral labels. The expertise stays. The identities don’t.
Customer & employee names
Replaced with neutral labels like CLIENT_17.
Emails, phones & addresses
Stripped from every field and message.
Bank, card & login details
Never included, never offered.
Client-owned files
If a contract says the client owns it, it stays out.
Access to your systems
Buyers receive a copy. Nobody logs in to your software.
Anything you choose
Leave out whole systems, folders, clients or years.
RFI #112: Level 3 beam penetration
FromENGINEER_A EMAIL
ToCLIENT_17 EMAIL
CLIENT_17,
Our structural review found the new duct run conflicts with beam B-14. We recommend shifting the penetration 18" east and adding a stiffener plate. No schedule impact; fee impact is $2,400 under the change-order process.

The business you’ve already built probably qualifies.
Buyers are looking for established companies with real operating history. Two things matter most: your headcount and how far back your records go.

Employees on payroll
Full- and part-time. Smaller? Send your details anyway. We keep a list for when buyers widen their criteria.
2+

Emails, invoices, job files, tickets. The longer your history, the more it tends to be worth.

07 /Questions
What owners ask before they apply.
Something we didn’t cover?
Email us at hello@realizemydata.com and a real person will get back to you.
Get my free estimateWhy would AI companies pay for our old records?
AI developers are building software that does real work: quoting jobs, dispatching crews, answering customers, managing projects. Training it takes real examples of how that work happens, and the public internet doesn’t have them. Years of operating records from an established company do.
Is this legal? What about our customers’ privacy?
Yes. You license a copy of records you own, under a written agreement your own lawyer can review. Names, contact details and account numbers are removed before anything is shared, and anything restricted by a client contract or privacy law stays out.
Do we give up ownership of our data?
No. You keep your originals and your systems. A buyer gets permission to use a de-identified copy for the purposes written into your agreement, and nothing more.
What does it cost?
Nothing upfront. There’s no fee to get an estimate, talk with us, or be reviewed by a buyer, and you’re never obligated to accept an offer.
How much work is this for my team?
Very little. After a short call, your team confirms record counts and exports from the systems you choose. We guide every step and tell you what’s involved before you commit to anything.
Can we choose what’s included?
Yes. You decide which systems, years, folders, clients or projects are in scope. Anything not listed in your agreement stays out.
How is the final value decided?
The estimate on this page is a starting point based on your size, history, industry and record types. The actual offer comes after a buyer reviews how many records you have, how far back they go, and your right to license them.
Who are the buyers?
Established AI developers that license business records to train their models. We work with them directly, and you’ll know exactly who you’re dealing with before you sign anything.
We’re under 20 employees or under 2 years old. Can we still apply?
Yes, send your details. Buyers currently prioritize companies with 20+ employees and 2+ years of records, but their criteria change, and we’ll reach out when a buyer’s brief fits your company.
How long until we get paid?
It depends on your records and the buyer’s review. The estimate takes about a minute, we reply within one business day, and we’ll give you a realistic timeline on the first call.
